Biko



Let's make biko!
3 cups glutinous rice (malagkit)
1 and 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
3 cups coconut milk (gata)
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 tbs fennel seeds

PROCEDURE FOR MAKING BIKO

1. Combine the glutinous rice, water, brown sugar, coconut milk and salt in a large non-stick pot.

2. Turn on medium heat and stir the mixture continually until the liquid is absorbed and the rice is soft and fully cooked.

3. Transfer the rice mixture to a flat rectangular baking dish. Use a pancake turner or spoon to flatten and smooth the top.

4. Let cool until the rice mixture firms up.

5. Slice into serving pieces and serve topped with fennel seeds.

Hi tsang, naa pa biko diha? Imung biko sticky kaayo kalami ana bayot. Panghatag diha ipalupad lng padala sa spring hehehe. mag adgi sa ko tsang ky nag pa ads ko.

nakatawa jud ko nako kay sige man ug tutok sa biko. kalami ana Dhemz. One time nag try baya ko but wala man lami. Mao palit lang ko usahay sa shop pag mingaw na..hehehe.. then akong miga kay hatagan sad ko ug magluto siya. mao ra na akong time makakaon. Magsulay unya ko aning imong recipe basin karon weekend. Naa pa diha sobra..?? hehehe

Hi Dhemz! Ang sarap ng biko! Naalala ko tuloy ang namayapa ko ng nanay. Sya kasi ang mahilig magluto ng biko at kahit anong kakanin. Buti haindi ka tumataba 'no?

Sis ipalupad mo daw sabi ni bakla tsang hehehe isabay mo na rin dito kasi neighbor kami lol.. Sarap ng biko! ano yung fennel seed sis lol, ignoramus ata ako..

biko nag-huna huna baja ko ana ug mag-buhat unya kay gitapolan man mao tan-aw nalang ko sa imo biko...nahhh galaway intawon ko dire Daj...bali ka anyag man gud kaayo tan-awon maka-inspired man oj...hehehe siguro mag-buhat ko sa easter weekend...copiahon nako imo recipe..ok...

I just learned here in the US how easy to make biko. Way back home, it is very complicated the way we cooked it. Hayyyy salamat kay sayon ra......I tried it once here. It is very good dhemz but hubby doesn't like it. Well...it's okay basta ganahan ko wala nay palag akong banana..hehehehhee...

Ah Yan ang hindi ko pa nagawa. Hindi ako mahilig magluto nang kakanin. Hindi ko linya iyan. Puro ulam lang at simpleng dessert o meryenda ang niluluto ko. Maganda naman at na post mo yung recipe nang biko. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
