Hot Chili Soup

Chili soup in a warm weather? I know I know...I'm in such a bad timing! but who cares if I make chili soup...lol! I made this for dinner last week. It was delicious! Here's a recipe for yah.
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 of an onion, chopped
1 28 oz. can diced tomatoes
1/2 cup water
1 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
1 16 oz can hot chili beans, juice and all, do not drain
2 tsp. chili powder
1/4 cup canned hot jalepenos, chopped
several shakes of Tabasco sauce

Brown beef with onion. Stir in rest of ingredients. Simmer, covered, for 30 min. Best serve with sour cream & shredded cheese

Did You Know?

Soup has been around for more than 9,000 years, with the invention of waterproof containers—made of formed clay or even animal skins—in which food could be boiled. The original soups were broths of bones and other leftovers, poured over bread to “sop” up the thin liquid (the Latin word for bread soaked in broth is suppa, giving rise to the French word soupe). Even more tellingly, the term restaurant derives from soup: restaurer, French for “to restore” refers to the rich, highly flavored broths sold by street vendors to restore the vigor of exhausted workers in France in the 16th century.

Mukhang masarap talaga at hot yung hot chili soup mo. Parang variation din yan nang chili con carne pero ginawang soup nga lang. Subukan kong minsan kasi mukhang katakam takam ang litrato sa post mo. Thanks for the post and the information. God bless you all always.
