Lo-Mein

In California we called this dish "chow mein" or "house chow mein". But here in Texas, they called it "Lo mein". I thought they tastes the same. I always order the "house" noodle because it has a variety of meat in it. It's cooked with shrimp, pork, chicken, beef and vegetables. I like it here in Texas ($5.29) better because Chinese food is way cheaper than in California ($6.99).

Lo Mein means tossed noodles, while chow mein or chao mian means fried noodles...so there's the difference. Whichever, let me have mine! ;-) Yum!

Hi! Dhemz...
I love to eat Chinese dishes, but I have never eaten
"chow mein" or "house chow mein"... before...Therefore, the next time I order take-out, I will order chow mein.
Once again, thanks for sharing!
