Pomegranate & Blackberry

Daughter and I planted a pomegranate and blackberry a few days ago. These kind of fruits are some of our favorites. Hubby loves blackberry pie. I can't wait for them to bear fruit.
Blackberries are very hardy plants although the new hybrid varieties will be less hardy than the wild brambles that appear readily in any undisturbed patch of land. Blackberry leaves are high in vitamin C content and is one of the sweetest tastiest fruits to eat. They are best eaten fresh, but can be made into delicious pies, tarts and crumbles, and of course jams and preserves.
The pomegranate is native from Iran to the Himalayas in northern India and was cultivated and naturalized over the whole Mediterranean region since ancient times. It is widely cultivated throughout India and the drier parts of southeast Asia, Malaya, the East Indies and tropical Africa. The tree was introduced into California by Spanish settlers in 1769.

May blackberry bush bro in law ko at nakatikim ako for the first time nang black berry, aslum2x siya. Pomegranate is a nice fruit pero dili au ko ganahan. That's good that all those plants grow in Texas, pomegranate wont survive here. :) Sayanga oi, la ko kaapil sa green Monday, hehehe
