Home Improvement Re runs

Thanks to Erich Emerson

One of my favorite things to do in the evenings, when the house is finally settling down, is to watch re runs of older shows on tv cable near Philadelphia. My favorite show to watch is Home Improvement. This show was so much fun to watch. The show revolved around Tim Taylor, the star of a local cable show, and his family. Tim was always getting hurt in some way, usually because of his clumsiness. His wife, Jill, was always supportive of her husband and did her best with their three sons. There is also the strange neighbor Wilson, who always had his face hid, and Tim's assistant Al, who everybody seemed to like more than Tim. The show started when the boys were just little boys, and ended when the oldest was out of high school so in essence, the viewers watched these boys grow up. The show always revolved around good family values and there was always a lesson to be learned from it. The family worked as a team and they always supported each other, no matter how hard it was, they just dealt with it. There are not many shows today that have this kind of family values. With most of television revolving around sex and money, this is a refreshing end to my busy day. In addition, this is also a show that the whole family can watch together without worrying about suggestive behavior. There is nothing I enjoy more than sitting down and watching Home Improvement re runs on satellite tv after a long, busy day.
