The Best animated movie I have watched on the channels I get with the best satellite tv deals is the original "Toy Story". Now I know that there are a lot of newer movies out but there is something about the first Toy Story that just makes it the perfect movie to watch with your kids. The great thing about animated movies is that you can watch them over and over and each time you will see something new that you didn't notice the first time around.
Adults like me enjoyed the heroic actions of Woody and Buzz Lightyear just as much as the little kids. This movie was a hit when it debuted at the theaters and it is also just as much fun to watch on TV at home. In fact I think I may have enjoyed it better curled up on the sofa with the family surrounding me and our 2 dogs patiently sitting by my feet waiting to grab any stray kernels of popcorn that might fall to the floor.
There are a lot of lessons to be learned from this family friendly movie and it is nice to see a story where the good guy "Woody" really does win at the end. Of course even Buzz Lightyear comes through at the end and transforms from a blowhard super hero into a kinder, gentler personality.
