Persons Unknown

Content by Donny Vinson

Being an avid fan of the TV show, "Lost", I decided to check out "Persons Unknown", an NBC summer mini series on the old satellite TV satellite.
It starts off with strangers slowly meeting in the hallway of a hotel and no one knows how they got there. Among the strangers are Joe Tucker (Jason Wiles), who is the de-facto leader, Janet Cooper (Daisy Betts),a day care owner, and Graham McNair (Chadwick Boseman), a marine. The group members start to recall either being at home or out and about someplace, and the next thing they know they've awoken in this mysterious hotel.
Next, they find that they are the only people there and decide to head outside to what appears to be a deserted town. After a few of them step too far down the street in an attempt to leave the town, they fall into an immediate unconscious state. (Curiously,) it takes more than a few people fainting before this problem is realized. Eventually they figure out some kind of force field surrounds the town, rendering them useless until they are pulled away from it.
Security cameras turn out to be watching their every move and all their efforts to leave are thwarted. This dilemma forces the hostages to rely on each other to survive as their abductors sow mistrust and pit them against each other. Meanwhile, Mark Renbe (Gerald Kyd), an investigative reporter, begins to look into the disappearances of the missing people despite objections from his boss.
"Persons Unknown" definitely reminds you what made "Lost" such a great series in the beginning. If you loved Lost, you'll definitely enjoy this mini-series.
