Pollen Allergies

Each year millions of Americans suffer from symptoms such as itchy watery eyes, coughing, sneezing, runny noses, and more, all because of pollen in the air. You might be wondering just how to avoid this allergen because as soon as you get over the tree pollen in spring, there will be grass pollen in summer, and ragweed pollen in fall.

Protect Yourself From Pollen Allergies
Evaluate your yard. Trees, grasses, flowers and plants each have a different pollen production pattern. Ask your local nursery about which plants in your garden may be a problem for you, and consider replacing them. At the very least, stay away from these plants during pollination, and keep your windows closed.

Reduce exposure to pollen.  Avoid outdoor activities. If you must be outside, consider wearing a dust or surgical mask.

Clean yourself off.

Use indoor air filters.

Get your air ducts cleaned.

Use local bee pollen and honey.
