Calamansi is a fruit tree native to the Philippines. It is the most commonly grown backyard tree among the citrus species. Like its relatives, such as the mandarin, pomelo and sweet orange, the calamansi is rich in phosphorous, calcium, iron and Vitamin C or ascorbic acid. It is the most popular and most commonly used citrus fruit in the country.
Have you ever had this before? I have never tried it in my life until
one of my blogger friends Mel sent it last week. Oh boy, it tastes like margarita to me! Yum! I wish we have calamansi here in the US. I like calamansi better than lime. Thanks again yotchMel!

Kalamansi nang ning-kabit sa baso yotch? hehehe, I love that drink! Rich in vitamin C :)
Calamansi is really a complete fruit. You can use it for juice, for marinade, for seasoning even for bleaching stains in white shirts. Some also use it as ingredient for bath soap and shampoo. Tocayong Mel is really so sweet and generous. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
