Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship Application

The Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowships have recognized the need for setting a high standard when it comes to the quality of students that graduate each year. They know that a big part of the success of the students in the classroom is having a competent teacher that is willing to mentor her students and share her knowledge the best possible way. The fellowship aims to encourage talented college seniors and interested individuals to become educators particularly in the field of science, math, engineering and technology. Through the funding of foundations and state governments, the fellowships offer intensive, clinically-based master’s programs at participating universities. They develop programs that aim to increase the standards of teachers in every classroom. Upon completion of the program, the participant commits to teaching for at least 3 years at high-need secondary urban school or rural schools that are in need of quality educators particularly in the fields of science and math. Previous teaching experience is not mandatory. All of the credentials of an applicant are considered to determine if she is eligible to be part of the fellowship. There are several teaching fellowships like teach ohio that are committed to their aim of providing competent educators wherever they are needed.
