Conveyor Belts

My husband has worked in many warehouses where he used a conveyor belt. Are you familiar with conveyor belt? A conveyor belt is a mechanical machine consisting of a continuous moving belt that transports materials from one place to another place. I have to admit that this kind of belt is a great invention for warehouses and other manufacturing jobs. They make things much easier to get the parts or supplies around your warehouse. Most of the places he worked used many conveyor belts. He used worked in material handling and had to use many of the material handling conveyors. He would receive a request for supplies, and then would have to locate them in the warehouse. After he located the parts, he would process the paperwork as he hand the part to the customer. There was much more work he had to do if the part was a reparable part. If that was the case, he would have to receive the broken part before giving the new part to the customer. That ended up being even more complicated if the customer required the new part before they could remove the old part. If that was the case, he might have to give the customer an exception and allow them to turn in the part at a later date. I have seen many factories that also use these conveyor belts to transport items from one location to another. For instance, one person will do something with a part at one location, and then the conveyor belt will transport the item to another station where someone else will do something. I always found factories pretty interesting on how they put their product together using conveyor belts and other factory machines.
