Anyhow, speaking of Baklava....hubby bought a small portion last weekend at HEB store. He did not realized that it's too expensive. Four pieces for $4.99? Weeeee! It's worth the price though...lol!
Baklava is a rich, sweet pastry made of layers of phyllo dough filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with syrup or honey. It is characteristic of the cuisines of the former Ottoman Empire and much of central and southwest Asia.

Baklava is a very sweet pastry. Totoo sis. Part yan sya ng culture ng husband ko. As you know, he's fromTurkey where Ottoman Empire started. Di kaya maubos isang slice nyan. Pilitin ko pa kasi sobrang tamis. If I feel like eating baklava, ask ko muna si hubby to look for the not so sweet one. Hihi.

Ive had baklava before tsang when we visited my MIL close friends. they're from Greece and the wife is really good in making baklava. lami uy as in. ka sweet gd sa CEO ni Goryo and very thoughtful.
