Pan Seared & Oven Roasted Salmon

Do you love to eat salmon? Salmon is a rich, flavorful fish and one of the healthiest foods around. It's the only fish that my husband and daughter could eat everyday.
I've had some unlucky results with salmon before and I would not use those cooking methods again. Not to brag but now I'm confident enough to say that I can cook salmon like a pro! That's why I would like to share my simple and easy way to prepare Pan Seared & Oven Roasted Salmon recipe with minimal ingredients: Salmon, Pepper, Salt, Lemon, Onion and Butter.
I strongly suggest to avoid buying frozen salmon. I'm not a mega fan of frozen salmon. Period! Anyhow, start by rinsing the salmon and pat dry.
Lay the fish horizontally on the cutting board and slice it by portion. You don't have to slice it though but I prefer to cut mine by portions.
Season it generously with salt and pepper.
Now it's time to melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium high heat in a large skillet. While waiting for the butter to turn slightly brown, heat the oven to 425 F.
Place salmon fillets gently into a nonstick skillet and make sure not to crowd the pan.
Turn the heat to high and let the salmon sear each side for 2-3 minutes until a golden brown crust begins to form.
Next, transfer the fillets into a large baking dish and and let it rest while you prepare the lemon and onions.
Pour sliced onions evenly on top and squeezed some lemon juice over. Then place it in the oven and bake for at least 8-10 minutes. Remove and Serve!
Trust me, your salmon will never taste the same again. I guarantee it! It's golden crispy on the outside, yet moist and fluffy in the inside
